Occupying just over 30,000 square feet in Chatham-Kent, we service a 150 km radius -including Windsor-Essex, Sarnia-Lambton and London-Middlesex, both within the renovation and new home construction sectors.

EXPERIENCED PAINTER/FINISHER

 

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Painter/Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive/cabinetry painting and a strong understanding of chemical/paint systems. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work with various tools, and a commitment to delivering high quality results. As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint/stain, and ensuring that all work meets our high standards. Competitive wages offered, based on experience.

 

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas as needed.
  • Apply paint using spray guns and other tools, ensuring even coverage and adherence to specifications.
  • Mix paints and coatings according to manufacturer instructions to achieve desired colours and finishes.
  • Inspect finished work for quality assurance, making necessary touch-ups or corrections.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the proper storage of tools and materials.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various tasks related to painting and surface preparation.
  • Adhere to lean manufacturing company standards.

 

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Painter/Finisher, preferably in an automotive/cabinetry business or similar environment.
  • Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools related to painting tasks.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment safely as required by the job.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently within project timelines.
