With a dedication to continuous improvement and excellent service, Windmill Cabinet Shop Ltd., designs, engineers, manufactures, installs and services custom residential cabinetry; we exist to improve the lives of our employees, partners and clients we serve. Family owned and operated since 1976, Windmill Cabinet Shop Ltd. currently employs over 45 people. Occupying just over 30,000 square feet in Chatham-Kent, we service a 150 km radius -including Windsor-Essex, Sarnia-Lambton and London-Middlesex, both within the renovation and new home construction sectors.

JUNIOR / SENIOR ESTIMATOR

Responsibilities

Read and transcribe plan drawings into design software producing accurate plan and elevation room layouts
Develop and execute custom cabinet designs that reflect the customer’s expectation, the best solution (both in value and fit) for each client’s individual needs, and that accurately reflect Windmill Cabinet Shop standards
Create accurate estimate packages
Meet time-lines and deadlines
Keep thorough and accurate records pertaining to all project related communications
Product knowledge including: material limitations, restrictions and constraints
Record accurate site measures
Submit projects to Production Design Office that are on time, complete and accurately reflect Windmill Cabinet Shop standards
Communicate with Production and Installation staff on Work order / Design clarifications
Problem-solving on demand
Meet annual targeted sales

Skills/Qualifications Needed:

College or University graduate (Degree/Diploma in Design, Interior Design, Design Technology, Architecture, Architectural Design, Interior Architecture or equivalent)
CAD experience in either Mechanical or Architectural Software (experience transferrable)
Strong organizational skills are paramount
Strong Communication Skills, proficient in English
Strong Math Skills in Metric and Imperial Measurements
Excellent time management skills and exceptional customer service
Goal driven and seeks to continuously improve

Work Location: In-office, Chatham ON

Working Hours: 39 hours per week – we close 1 hour early on Friday’s!

Compensation: Hourly, plus benefits

JUNIOR $20.00 – $31.00 (annually: $40,560 – $62,868)

SENIOR $32.00 + (annually: $64,896)
