Position Overview
Windmill Cabinet Shop is seeking a skilled and dedicated Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in furniture, automotive and/or cabinetry finishing and a strong understanding of chemical/paint systems. This role requires proficiency in commercial coatings, attention to detail, the ability to work with various tools, and a commitment to delivering high quality results. As a Finisher, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying commercial coatings according to Standard Operating Procedures and ensuring that all work meets our high-quality standards.

Hourly compensation ranges from $20.00 – $35.00 per hour commensurate with relevant skills and experience.

Prepare surfaces for finishing by cleaning sanding, and masking areas as required.

Apply commercial coatings using spray guns and other tools, ensuring even
coverage and adherence to specifications.

Mix commercial coatings according to manufacturer instructions to achieve
desired colours and finishes
ο‚· Inspect finished work for quality assurance, making necessary touch-ups or
corrections.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the proper storage of tools and materials.

Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while
adhering to safety protocols
ο‚· Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various tasks related to painting and surface preparation
Adhere to lean manufacturing company standards

Proficiency in commercial coatings, using power tools, and hand tools related to finishing tasks.
Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment safely as required by the job.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently within project timelines.

Production Team Member

Position Overview
We’re looking for a motivated individual to join our team at Windmill Cabinet Shop Ltd. This role involves supporting our Production Team with daily tasks, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and helping ensure every product meets our high standards for detail and finish.

Entry wage begins at $19.00 per hour.

Prepare surfaces for finishing by cleaning sanding, and masking areas as required.

  • Inspect products for accuracy and quality before completion or delivery.
  • Previous experience in a woodworking or manufacturing environment is an asset but not required.
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and respect for teammates.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
